Edibles, commonly known as the fun way to consume CBD! Edibles are quickly becoming the most popular form of CBD ingestibles, with lots of great options in everything from gummies, to chocolates and even honeys and jams. CBD is often known for having a bitter flavor in its raw isolate form, and some Full Spectrum CBD extracts can have a taste of hemp when they are consumed alone. Pairing these CBD extracts with sweetness or salty and savory edibles makes getting your dose of CBD more palatable and frankly, more fun!
As with most CBD products, when you buy CBD edibles in bulk it tends to be the best way to get the most cost effective CBD, so we typically recommend buying larger packs or combination packs, such as A Boring Life’s CBD Almonds in multiple flavors or Freed’s 25 count of CBD Gummies. No matter which type of edible you choose, we’re sure you’re going to enjoy CBD like never before!
How long does it take for CBD edibles to kick in?
Typically the effects of CBD will start to be noticed in 30 minutes to an hour. However, each person is different and their own unique body chemistry will react differently to CBD, even among different types (full spectrum vs isolate) and medium (capsules vs edibles). Some particular CBD products will work better for you than they do for other people. This is why we recommend trying a small range of CBD products to see which works best for you.
Are CBD Edibles good for you?
That depends. Like all foods, moderation is key. Eating too many sweets, regardless of whether they contain CBD is never a great idea, though if you keep to a typical recommended diet, there’s no reason you can’t incorporate delicious CBD-infused treats into your mealtime or snack habits.
Are CBD edibles expensive?
CBD edibles tend to be more expensive per milligram than CBD Oils or Capsules, largely because of the increased expense of the manufacturing process. Adding a high quality CBD oil to a Coconut (MCT) or Olive Oil suspension is a minimal cost, while adding CBD to some delicious gummies, chocolates or almonds will typically run a little more.
For a daily baseline regimen of CBD, we recommend 25-50mg of CBD daily in the form of a CBD Oil or CBD capsules, and then supplementing your daily CBD oral intake with some CBD gummies or other CBD edibles as you see fit, for that little extra boost when you feel you need it.
Do you offer CBD cookies, CBD brownies or other CBD baked goods? Due to the shelf life of CBD and baked goods, we don’t currently have a wide selection of CBD baked goods, though we’re always looking for new suppliers to help fill this niche. For lasting taste and preservation, and to make sure that our customers receive a quality product, we try to recommend edibles such as gummies, nuts, and honeys that have long shelf lives and will arrive in the freshest possible condition after you order them.
While there have been zero reported cases of fatal CBD consumption, it is possible that some adverse effects can occur from ingesting too much CBD. The most common reported negative effects are nausea, drowsiness, vomiting and headache, though these tend to be correlated with very high dosage ingestion. Just like going to the gym, there’s no shame in starting slow and ramping up when figuring out your optimal CBD intake. We recommend starting with no more than 100mg of CBD consumption daily (30-50mg is average) as you start out, then adjusting as you feel fit.
